Interactive Intelligence Laboratory

The Interactive Intelligence Laboratory was formed to explore the idea that machines should acquire their own conceptual systems or ontologies through interaction. The IIL comprises three Computer Science core laboratories: the Adaptive Networks Laboratory (ANW), directed by Andrew Barto; the Experimental Knowledge Systems Laboratory (EKSL), directed by Paul Cohen; and the Laboratory for Perceptual Robotics (LPR), co-directed by Roderic Grupen and Robin Popplestone, and faculty in the Cognitive, Developmental, and Educational Psychology Division of the Psychology Department, -- Neil Berthier, Carole Beal and Rachel Clifton.
